Casey was born and raised in sunny southern California and has lived in Knoxville since 2016. She is an experienced yoga instructor (E-RYT 200), Yoga Alliance continuing education provider (YACEP), and a Living Soul Institute trainer, which offers yoga teacher training in Knoxville. Casey is certified in hot power vinyasa, yoga sculpt, kids yoga, trauma-sensitive, and Holy Yoga. She has a passion for nurturing wholeness in her students, with classes that provide an environment of grace, freedom, and healing. Casey previously served as a Regional Shepherd for the Holy Yoga Foundation. When not on her mat, you can find Casey reading, baking, binge-watching Netflix, singing karaoke, drinking insane amounts of coffee, and road tripping across the U.S. with her hubby & 3 kids.
Becky Crenshaw is a mom of three sons, wife to Brent and lover of Jesus! She has been a fitness instructor since 1997, teaching a wide variety of classes over the years including Spin, Bootcamp, Step, Holy Yoga, and now is a certified Revelation Wellness instructor. She is passionate about the integration of fitness and faith and believes that exercise is as much a creative way to worship as it is a tool for health.
Missi grew up taking ballet and found her passion with barre as an adult. She loves the challenging nature of barre and knows firsthand how it helps with stress, focus, confidence, strengthening, and overall fitness. Missi is passionate about creating a fun environment where everyone feels a sense of community. She received her barre certification from the International Ballet Barre Fitness Association (IBBFA). She works full time and understands the importance of taking care of yourself. Missi is a Knoxville native and graduated from the University of Tennessee. She has two children, Chase and Cruise, and is married to Steve.
Kimberly is an East TN native and graduate of the Univ. of Tennessee, Knoxville as well as UT Medical School - go Vols! She practiced as a Pediatrician from 2000-2017, and began practicing yoga in 2003 to help stretch and strengthen for endurance running and triathlons. In 2017, Kimberly transitioned from pediatrics to nutrition and eating disorder recovery coaching, where she's led many adults and teens to recovery and freedom. She recently became a certified yoga (2020) and Holy Yoga (2021) instructor, and is working on a certificate as an eating disorder recovery specific yoga instructor. Kimberly hopes to impart freedom, joy, peace and self confidence to all her students.
JoAnn has been a personal trainer and fitness instructor for over 20 years. She has taught a wide variety of fitness classes, from Step to Spin to TRX to Pilates. JoAnn enjoys working with all people, regardless of where they are in their fitness journey. In her free time, she loves outdoor cycling (road and mountain), hiking and traveling with her husband.
Tara began her bodywork and movement journey as a ballerina and continued to train in ballet and modern through college. She went on to become a certified Pilates instructor in The Method - Pilates and began teaching. In 2006, Tara attended her first Holy Yoga class and immediately knew that she was made for this. She became a Holy Yoga instructor in February 2009 and has been teaching ever since. Tara is also a Licensed Massage Therapist and coaches kids cross country. Her Holy Yoga classes are a fusion of worshipping Jesus through dance, yoga, and breathwork. She lives in Hardin Valley with her husband of 20 years and their four children.
Andrea is originally from Mobile, AL. She has also lived in Dallas; Wilmington, NC; Sunrise, FL; New Orleans; and in 2012 settled in Knoxville. Here she met and married her husband Greg in 2015. Andrea had a twenty-year career in restaurant management that she left in 2018 with an excitement for whatever might come next. Her love of dance, passion for people, and fascination with the mind-body connection inspired her to get her Holy Yoga Instructor Certification early in 2021. It was through Holy Yoga and Holy Meditation that Andrea began to find her true purpose by engaging with her Creator. This process brought tremendous healing, freedom, and truth both on and off her mat. She hopes to share these tools with all her students.
With nearly 20 years of practice as a clinical pharmacist, Kenda was called into fitness ministry through Holy Yoga in 2016, completing her 225-hour certification. Kenda has also completed Holy Yoga leadership and development training and is certified in aerial yoga. Her training and passion for yoga shines through her heart and love for God's work and grace. Knox Yoga + Barre Studio has become the fulfillment of that passion! Beyond yoga, Kenda enjoys walking, family vacations, and spending time with her husband, Bill, and two children, Kelsey and Hudson.
